Acomplia is a multi-function diet pill that has recently been approved
for sale in the UK by prescription only. Studies have shown Acomplia to
suppress appetite, which leads to weight loss, suppress the desire for
smoking and lower cholesterol, blood sugar and blood pressure levels.
The 20 mg Acomplia dosage works by affecting the Endocannbinoid System,
which controls appetite. Acomplia blocks cannabinoid 1 receptors in the
brain that stimulate the feeling of being hungry or the urge to smoke. By
blocking the CB1 receptors, the urge to overeat is suppressed as well as the
desire for tobacco.
Accomplia 20 mg tablets are recommended in
conjunction with a low calorie diet and
exercise for treatment of obese patients or
overweight patients at risk for type 2
diabetes.
The recommended adult dosage is 20 mg once a
day taken before
breakfast. You should not take more than 20
mg a day or double the 20 mg dose. The 20 mg
dose of Acomplia is available in quantities
of 28, 56, 84, 112, 140, and 168 tablets.
There are mild side effects associated with
the 20 mg dose of Accomplia, which include
nausea, irritability/anxiety, dizziness, and
fatigue. The side effects have been shown to
be short lived. If the side effects become
prolonged, you should consult your doctor.
You should not take Acomplia 20 mg if you
are pregnant, breast-feeding or under
eighteen years of age. Acomplia 20 mg is
also not prescribed for patients with renal
or liver problems or epilepsy.
